Text Message Terms

ME3T is run by GLOBL. ME3T Alerts is our text message program: short, informational texts about your own ME3Ts (account notifications), sent only to members who ask for them. This page covers what we send, how you opt in, and how to stop.

By providing your mobile phone number and enrolling in ME3T Alerts, you agree to receive recurring informational text messages from ME3T (by GLOBL) about your matches. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help. For additional assistance, contact support@me3t.app. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Participation in this program is subject to our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.

The short version: texts are off unless you tick the box. We only text about your matches, never marketing. Reply STOP at any time and they end.

What we send

A ME3T is forming. You have been matched with two other members and have 24 hours to accept or pass.
Your ME3T is ready. All three of you said yes, and you can see who you are meeting in the app.
Service messages. A confirmation when you opt in, a confirmation when you opt out, and replies to HELP.

We do not send marketing or promotional texts. Alerts never say who you have been matched with, so nothing private shows on your lock screen. For example:

ME3T: A ME3T is forming. You've been matched with 2 members. Accept or pass within 24 hours at https://www.me3t.app/app Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.

ME3T: Your ME3T is ready. All three of you said yes. See who you're meeting at https://www.me3t.app/app Reply STOP to opt out.

How you opt in

Texts are optional, and you are never required to receive them to use ME3T. Agreeing to texts is not a condition of any purchase. To opt in:

Sign in to ME3T at www.me3t.app/app and open My Profile.
Enter your mobile phone number.
Tick the box beside it, which starts unticked and reads: “Text me ME3T Alerts: informational messages from ME3T (by GLOBL) about my matches, sent to this number. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Optional: not required to use ME3T.”
Save your profile. We record that you agreed and when, and send a text confirming you are signed up.

Only the member who owns an account can opt in its number. We never add a number to texts on anyone's behalf.

How often

Message frequency varies with how often you are matched: usually one or two texts for each ME3T, and none while you are not looking for one.

Cost

ME3T does not charge for texts. Message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply.

How to stop

Reply STOP to any ME3T text. You will get one text confirming you are unsubscribed, and no more after that.
Or untick the text alerts box in My Profile and save.
To start again, reply START or tick the box again.

Help

Reply HELP to any ME3T text, or email support@me3t.app.

Your number stays private

We never sell your mobile number or your agreement to receive texts, and never share them with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
Your number goes to our text message provider, Twilio, only so it can deliver ME3T texts.
Ticking the text alerts box does not show your number to other members. That is a separate sharing switch, and it starts off.

Carriers

ME3T Alerts are for mobile numbers in the United States. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
